Should I Try minoxidil? Does It Cause Under-eye Circles Or Not?

Hi guys. I'm 42. I have some diffuse thinning on the top of my head (see photo - it's obviously kinda covered by the comb over). Maybe some minor receding but nothing too bad - just getting old?

First off - would I be a good candidate for minoxidil? Should I do the 5% twice a day? And secondly - I cannot find a consensus on the under eye dark circles thing. I sometimes get them and I don't want them to get worse. I was considering the Kirkland 5% foam. Applied only the the very top of my head. Is that a concern?

Didn't give me circles but gave me breathing problems and headaches. Get on finasteride, much more effective and easier to deal with. No sides.

Based on a flawed study conducted by the company that sells it.

All the other independent studies I have seen have it listed under 10%.

Chances are it won't be a problem.Otherwise enjoy dark circles and continuing to lose your hair ;)

Highest was 16% and then we are only talking about short term effects.

I tried finasteride from oct 2015 till jun 2016 and quit because of side effects that I am still trying to recover from till this day.

Sorry to hear that man, f*****g strange drug the way some are hugely affected and others not at all. minoxidil and nizoral 2% as a mild anti-androgen a few times a week are probably your best bet then, but of course I wouldn't expect more than a few years maintenance without finasteride. I haven't seen any credible before and afters for minoxidil dark circles, although it makes vague sense as it inhibits collagen synthesis in the skin.

Isn't cuck short for cuckold? A dude who's wife cheated on him? My ex wife cheated on me and I divorced her skank ***. So I guess I am a cuck. Lol. But now I have a much hotter girlfriend, so, it all worked out.

Yeah you got cucked, but seeing as you left her you're not an actual cuck so you should be fine.

Google 'zix hair'.

Because I do not really believe in topical finasteride not going systematic.

You believe topical finasteride spread into the whole body like the oral form. However I have read studies proving the opposite.

Sure, it will be less than in oral form but some of it will get systematic, you simply cannot avoid that. Problem is the flat response curve of DHT inhibition because a very little can do a lot of damage to people that are very sensitive to it. Not worth the risk for me.
