It's Official - I Am Genetically Resistant To Both Finasteride & Dutasteride

Yeah but that must have been from other factors in retrospect. eg. Physical/mental stress from surgical recovery.

It's Official - I Am Genetically Resistant To Both Finasteride & Dutasteride

You could still try dutasteride and get your DHT checked on it. Even just take it 2-4 weeks and then check. 99%+ of men respond to dutasteride and at least it is approved for hair loss in a few countries.

It's Official - I Am Genetically Resistant To Both Finasteride & Dutasteride

Finasteride was the first hair loss treatment I tried. I took it at 1.25 mg a day for 11 months and noticed continued shedding with no side effects or positive effects. Once i realized this was failing me, I switched to dutasteride 0.5 mg for 11 months and again noticed nothing at all. In both...

Darolutamide (odm-201), A Better Topical Than Enzalutamide?

Liposomes appear to be very complex and beyond my skill/knowledge at this point. I know virtually nothing about how to make them. I think the biggest delay with Brotzu has been the challenges of trying to create and maintain stable liposomes. I may want to try to do this long term, but I expect...

Fixed My Hairline, And While It's Still Healing, Best Decision I've Made In Years

About 6 weeks ago I had the second stage of my forehead reduction done. I had my hairline lowered ~4.3 cm as it had been freakishly high since birth and this has haunted me my whole life. I have therefore had a different hair loss journey than most people on this site. I think most people start...

Darolutamide (odm-201), A Better Topical Than Enzalutamide?

Standard Kirkland minoxidil usually comes in a solution of 50% propylene glycol, 30% ethanol, 20% water (ref). This worked just fine for me. Personally I find propanediol (from here) nicer than propylene glycol. It's got a bit smoother a feel and slightly more soothing to the scalp, though it's...

Does Honokiol (an Inhibitor Of 5-alpha-reductase Type 1) Helps Against Hairloss?

Keep in mind a lot of the aging process is just genetics and the fact that we're all programmed to wear out and die by a certain age. "Life" isn't a perfect process and there's no way to completely cheat the aging process. R-equol looks like a good agent for anti-aging...

Equol: A Natural Dht Binder And The Primary Ingredient In Brotzu

Yeah, gonna do that at the same time. I'm pricing out a new test lab first also that is more convenient for me.

Darolutamide (odm-201), A Better Topical Than Enzalutamide?

Side effects from the studies and associated warnings were posted previously in the thread (here on page 4), but I realize many of the newcomers to this thread may not have seen them. This was the side effect table of oral darolutamide reviewed in that post: For reference, here is also the...

Topical Zinc Thymulin For The Treatments Of Androgenetic Alopecia

Thanks for tagging me on this. This is really cool looking stuff. Thanks @Georgie for the great find. This stuff should be incredibly easy to have made up and very cheap too. The original article made synthesis seem more complicated than it needs to be because they were synthesizing their...

Equol: A Natural Dht Binder And The Primary Ingredient In Brotzu

As an update, if anyone's wondering, I received my racemic equol in the mail this week. Ordered from: https://nutrabiotech.en.alibaba.com/ Was going to go drop it at the lab today but I've been exhausted and I have to pack for going out of town tomorrow so I'm just taking it easy today. Will...

Does Honokiol (an Inhibitor Of 5-alpha-reductase Type 1) Helps Against Hairloss?

Absolutely I do. There isn't a lot of hard science, but you'll find far more reports of people saying their acne or skin inflammation stopped after starting finasteride/dutasteride, which is to be expected, since acne is at least partially androgenic. We know androgens impair wound healing...

Proteasome Inhibitors For The Stimulation Of Hair Growth

Proteosome inhibitors are experimental/toxic drugs used in chemotherapy. There are no human studies on scalps that I'm aware of. As far as I know it's all very short term rat studies. eg.: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4116182/ That rat study used bortezomib. Not sure if...

CALLING ALL RU USERS - Time for another official RU thread

I can't see how it would make your hair worse. But at least for my hair I need at least 5% RU 2 mL twice daily ie. 200 mg a day to really come close to slowing my loss down and even than doesn't stop it completely. Maybe I'm just less sensitive to it than you. I don't know. I think there are...

Update From The God Himself - Dr. Takashi Tsuji

My understanding of the Japanese law is reviewed here: https://www.hairlosstalk.com/interact/threads/regular-tsuji-updates-unfortunately-they-are-in-japanese.108977/page-6#post-1569996 Key point: Following approval, there will be a postmarket surveillance period of five to seven years, after...
