If there's no clinical evidence then I wouldn't use it, it's just a waste of time and money. She should know better if she's a doctor, selling hope is for charlatans.
I've always had a high hairline and a prominent V shape, so I find it difficult to tell if I have receded. However it seems like my hair is thinning as at the very front it seems thinner and more wispy than the rest? Is this a sign of male pattern baldness? And is there a legitimate way to get it confirmed?
You can get finasteride prescribed for free? You can't in the UK, for male pattern baldness it's classed as cosmetic, so is out of the NHS' remit. I can go to a private pharmacist and pay for it though....
