Yeah noted. I’m well aware of the potential dangerous side effects so thats why I’m taking it slow. Any signs of anything harmful happening to me then I’m stopping and going bald. ‍

How long were you taking finasteride before you got your liver checked?

Have you ever been tested for Gilbert’s Syndrome? I’ve got it and read on a forum recently that people with that condition can get a fatty liver taking finasteride. Thats why I’m starting on 1mg at only 3 times a week.

Just started taking finasteride today. I was going to micro dose to start with (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) to see if I had any side effects and then up the dosage after a few weeks.

Sexual side effects are what I’m most scared of so not sure if it’s worth the risk. We can’t get Dutasteride in the UK as it’s not licensed.

Apparently, if you take it 3 times a week you can still get 65% effectiveness. I just wondered if taking a low dose to begin with will leave less side effects. So that’s why I was asking if anyone who’s just taken a low dose had an issues. Thanks guys.

Thanks very much for your input. I honestly just don't know. I'm aware that only 2% of men are badly affected and knowing my luck I'll be one of them! :(
