balding young nineteen

I've been using minoxidil for about a year. Recently I've started to notice a little bit more shedding than usual and that my hair seems a little thinner than normal. I've heard this is normal with using minoxidil, as the hairs that grow back are thicker(?) Anybody ever gotten this?

Recently I noticed that my left temple is recessed more than my right. My temples are not that far off from where my original hairline used to be like 1-2 years ago but they're definitely more pronounced and look like a Norwood 1.5 or 2. Idk. Thoughts?
