1.25mg vs. 1.0mg side effects

I am considering buying Proscar and dividing the pills into 1/4s. I have been using Finpecia for some years. Has anyone noticed through personal experience or otherwise any increase in side effects with the added .25mg?

If you dont get sides from 1mg,I dont think an extra 0.25mg will make a difference.
