Hey ive been on proscar for almost 11months now and I really dont think its slowed down my hairloss much. When I first starting taken proscar september 1st I would say i was a NW2 but now I believe in a NW2.5
I wish i could of started taken it sooner but i started loosing hair in Highschool and didnt actually think i was going bald until i started talken to my barber when i was 19. Anyways the first picture is me 13months ago 2 months before i started propecia.

o and this is this afternoon...its hard to get a real estimate on hairloss w/ pics because the lighting is such a huge diffrence. Worse pictures i deleted off the bat cause of how bad they looked.

O and I just used Vive thinkening shampoo's until month 6th when i switched to tgel but i got off that last month because i hear so many good things about nizoral from yall on the site. I doubt it can make a difference though. I use is 2* a week and right afterwards i follow it up with a thickening conditioner is that okay?
Anways any advice would be so great.
Thanks!

You're lookin' great man.

The pictures show obvious maintenance.

Continue with Propecia, add Nizoral, and consider minoxodil treatment in the future.

Yeah, you don't look bad. yOu don't want to be a nw0. a nw1 (hamilton 1.6) is about ideal. i think the hair line should be about 80% has high above the top of your eyebrow as the top of your eye brow is above the tip of you nose. you need a ruler for that. Right now I'd say your hairline is about 1/4 inch too high. this should not make women see you as balding, though they will think something is not right but might not be able to put their finger on it and will dismiss it. I doubt it will be a large factor in your dating ability, since your hair is close enough to ideal. Just use nizoral and minoxidil to keep what you have. you can use the thickening conditioner if you want, but if you have to leave it in, apply it 20 minutes after applying minoxidil.

my brother, my cusin, and i all had hair like yours, and we all lost it soon after, except I was the youngest and had warning and got on propecia and think i've kept most of it, though it is hard to say how much has changed since i never took pictures. i could hide some thining with topik, but i don't want the hassel or cost, especially since i need to get on top of other stuff now anyway.

I really mean no offense by this comment but that haircut looks kinda goofy anyway. I think you would look much better with a close shave, maybe not bicked but a thin buzz would do the trick. Your hair looks like it has some diffuse thinning going on so that the sides of your hair look pretty thick and the bangs look really thin and see through. I know because I have the same thing. I used to have my hair pretty long but it got more and more transparent in the front. Now I wear it short and spike it up with that messy look and the girls love it. I also hit the gym and put on a lot of lean muscle, I was pretty skinny by nature so any muscle. Just some food for thought. And again, those comments were meant only in the intent to help and if they offended you I apologize.

Thank ya'll very much for the replies! Propecia is helping I guess although not as well as i had hoped. I would say i was in the minor decrease or maybe no change area. I always seem to loose a few hairs when im combing and that can be depressing. Not to mention its summer i was just in the bathroom seeing what my hair looked like wet...i skiped out on a pool party this week, lol. I can see more of my scalp than i use to or that i like but i guess it could be worse. Actually ive been thinken of changing my hair style to a messy look leon so i dont find it offensive to hear the suggestion. I should get my sides trimed at least...anways I really appreciated all the positive and constructive feed back ill take all i can get. Maybe when im out of college ill switch to dutasteride but the proscar i use now is sooo cheap im gonna stay w/ it.

yeah, blonde guys do not like to keep their hair... though it seems to me we have the best response to finasteride... do get on the nizoral too!

i would stick it out a bit longer with the proscar, i am sure it is at least slowing down your loss

Yeah Ill definatly stick it out w/ the proscar it only cost like 10dollars a month! Comparing that to propecia i save about 500dollars a year.
About the Nizoral shampoo is it okay to use a conditioner right afterwards also i use it 2times a week right now could i go up to 3?
Yah i cover up a lil bald spot right in the center of my hair thats why i say at least NW2.5. Its also why i hesitate to get a shorter hair cut.
when i get outta college i think im gonna get on dutasteride
