Hi all,

long time reader first time poster.Seeking your opinions and info. I used proscar 1/4 tab daily for 10 years and 5% minoxidil from the age of 17-27.

I had fantastic results, and only decided to stop using it as I got married recently and wanted to start a family.

It has now been 18 months since I discontinued finasteride, and I've lost most of my hair. I still am using the 5% minoxidil daily, but I dont think its effective at all anymore.

More concerning is that I havent had any desire for sex or spontaneous erections or morning wood for the last 12 months (approx 7-8 months after stopping finasteride) . I've also experienced ED during this entire period and feel as though my penis has shrunk in length and volume.

Whilst I was on my regime, I was on top of the world with a fairly full head of hair, and I was extremely horny and sexually active daily with my wife!

I was just wondering is it normal that I experienced these massive sides AFTER I discontinued the product and not during the use of it? Can anyone provide me with some advice or help? This might sound crazy but will going back on a low dose of finasteride restore these sides I am suffering from? I had absolutely no issues when I was on finasteride and minoxidil.

Any help would be much appreciated. If I've left anything out feel free to ask. Thanks people.

Going back on should be a Last resort! My advice is stop reading about post finasteride syndrome. Propecia help is a dangerous rabbit hole and a downward spiral of hopeless people spreading fear amongst themselves. Your situation is similar to mine except when I quit my erections got stronger. Keep in mine impotence happens to many men. Especially married men lol. You need to work on getting your t levels up and your balls back. Lift weights. Eat eggs in the morning take a zinc supplement lose fat quit alcohol and think positively.

I personally think you're going through depression and common symptoms of men who deal with hair loss.

If you were fine taking finasteride 10 years in a row then that's not the cause.
