16 And Starting Minoxidil & Nizoral This Week, Any Tips For Maximum Effectiveness?

Hi guys, a couple months back I first noticed my hairline was beginning to recede.

Today I talked to my mother about it for the first time and she agreed with me (although had never noticed at all before) that I had lost some hair on my temples. I'm currently Norwood 1.5 and looking to maintain that as long as possible (hopefully enough time till a better treatment comes out).

So, starting at the end of this week I am going to be using both regaine foam and nizoral once or twice a week.

1) Should I use regaine Once or Twice a day? I've heard using it once a day is almost as effective? I'm not too sure.

2) I'm only going to be applying to my temples as this is the only area i'm struggling with. Overall density is very good, it's just that receding hairline. Is it okay to apply ONLY to my hairline only? How far behind my hairline should I apply, about one centimeter?

Just looking for all the help I can get, and yes I'm 99% sure i'm receding and I think i'm having an appointment with a tricho later this week.

Also, what other options should I be considering adding to my regimen??
Obvious finasteride once I reach 18 is an option.

Anything else? Maybe RU??

Cheers

Use once a day at night and only on your hairline. Increase to twice a day after 6-12 months if you're not getting the "results" you want.

Id say use twice a day and use nizoral as much as you can and stay away from ru thats a real anti androgen nothing a 16 year old boy should be messing with. And also stick with your with what your using take pictures even if doesnt look like its working stick with it because you probably have aggressive hairloss since your only 16 and probably wont get that great regrowth but it might buy you some precious time.

I think twice a day but use a smaller dose than recommended. A bit more than half the recommended dose.

I apply on my hairline only and I find the full dose twice a day too much. I put my hair back and try to apply it back about 3cm into my hairline as my hair is thinning back 3cm. Using on hairline only is ok.

Remember to wash your hands and not touch your hair after for a good while.
