my forehead has always been pretty big but becoming older I have just now started being conscious of hairloss and looking out for it. I noticed by temples going back a lot lately. Is this maturing or male pattern baldness.

Hope you have a job cuz you’re gonna need a lot of money to try the treatments that it’s gonna take to stop aggressive hairloss like yours

There is no difference between maturing and male pattern baldness

Start finasteride and minoxidil now before its too late

This. @Yeet yeet yote A 'mature' hairline is male pattern baldness, but for many guys they recede a bit and it stops. Almost like the balding gene was temporarily turned off, or more probable that the rest of the hair is a lot more resistant to the effects of DHT. I think you are a bit far gone for it to be maturing, especially at 17 it doesn't look good. You do still have plenty of hair though. Don't listen to the first poster, meds are pretty damn cheap. I'm currently unemployed and I can afford finasteride, minoxidil and Cyproterone

i see too many posters talking about how they will be content about keeping what they have until a certain age. that's exactly what i thought as well.. but you will never be happy with hair loss even when you are 30 or 40 because let's face it, it looks like sh*t. start treatment now and go see a doctor. do not put it off like i did for 9 years. a lot of members here would give their left nut to go back and start treatment early. get on the big 3, exercise, and stick with the treatment for at least 6 - 12 months and then re-evaluate.
