17 Years Old. Mature Or Receding Hairline?

This is my 3rd and final time I want to post on this forumn. I’m obsessing on whether or not i’m going bald or my hairline is receding. I’m 17 years old. My father didn’t go bald and he’s 38. My grandfather on my moms side was 55 when he died with a full head of hair. Only people in my family who experience balding is my uncles from my moms side.

Yeah I think the above post is a bit extreme. Unless you're really unlucky, your hair probably won't recede that fast. The good thing is that your hair still looks awesome. mine probably looked about like that I around 18 or so, and I had no idea anything was happening. You may want to chat with a derm on potential maintenance options, as 17 may be a young age to mess with hormones using pills like finasteride/dutasteride. I should note that a lot of derms don't actually know a ton about male pattern baldness (mine even told me that using Head and Shoulders shampoo was a great option for fighting baldness, even when that shampoo was thinning my hair enough to realize something was happening in the first place ), so you may want to do your research on the right person to talk to.
