18yr idk if I’m thinning or not help

Hey I’m a male and 18yrs old and I’ve been suspecting my hair has been thinning for maybe six months but I don’t know and it seems to be only the sides of my head the top of my head doesn’t seem that bad at all I also went to the doctors and she said “ that it was just the way the light hit my hair” any opinions help or not will be muchly appreciated I also don’t really shed like at all

Your hair looks absolutely normal. Dark hair against light scalp will look like this in most people.

That pic looks like you might have thinning at the sides - the original pics look better. But photos and lighting can be deceptive.

My sides look thin when long, as that is the natural quality of my hair. It has always looked like that.

However, if you're sides haven't always looked like this, see a dermatologist to be on the safe side.

To be honest I don’t know if my sides have always been like that and I’m in lockdown right now but when that’s over I’m for sure getting it checked I just wanted to get a opinion so I don’t look dumb or seem like I’m over exaggerating cause when I went to the doctors she seemed like I was over exaggerating but other than that thank u for taking ur time and replying I appreciate it a lot

You don't look dumb, many many people notice stuff with their hair and decide to check it out.

Keep any eye on it and get it checked when you can. I'm sure you'll be fine.
