Why give it up? I see most of the problems with people's protocol approach.is that they give up to early rather than riding out the sides Then blame the medication for not working. You need at least one year of constant use before you can evaluate. Understand that each hair follicle is at a different cycle. Some are growing, resting, and some shedding. It takes awhile for everything to stabilize. The worst thing you can do is go on and come off and repeat the process. Also people are changing the dosage, and or adding different treatments in so you really have no idea of what is working

yes you should increase your dosage from 1 mg every other day to 1 mg per day. because taking 1 mg per day is recommended. right way to use finasteride is to take 1 mg every day.

are you suffering from sides?

finasteride usually stops shedding in 3-4 months. if i were you i would keep going at least for 6 months. if your hair continues shedding after 6 months you can think to change the treatment.
