1) What do you guys know about smoking and getting an hair transplant done?

2) Do any of you have random hairs here or there where the texture of the hair is not the same as the other hairs (almost wirey)? I've got a couple of these, is that normal or is it some issue of how they are put in during the hair transplant procedure from the staff?

From Dr. Bernstein's site:

"Smoking constricts blood vessels and decreases blood flow to the scalp, predominantly due to its nicotine content. The carbon monoxide in smoke decreases the oxygen carrying capacity of the blood. These factors may contribute to poor healing after a hair transplantation procedure. You should abstain from smoking at least one week prior to surgery to two weeks after the procedure."
