No recession, just a big forehead from what I can see. It would be better if we could get a close up of your hairline though, just to make sure you have no miniaturization.

I am quite sure i have some recession due to miniaturization on my left temple, unfortunately. I am diffuse thinning at the temporal areas too,but with my hair tied its not visible. I will try to take a closer shot and post here

Do you think lowering my hairline would be worth It?

You have some very deep temples, but they don't look outside the realm of normal to me. The hairstyle you have can easily disguise loss though. The view from the top of your head is reassuring. What really matters is whether miniaturization is cutting into the corners of the hairline right above the temples.

Yes,this hairstyle can disguise but at the same time worse the hairloss. I recorded the video at the worst lightning scenario. My brother is NW3 at 32,so It really scares me. What Norwood do you think i am right now?

You look like a NW1 from the front and top, but a NW2 from the sides. Not everyone fits neatly into a Norwood pattern, but I would put you at a 2. It would probably be best if you post close up pictures and wait for other people to weigh in as well.

Okay

Here is some pics Bro: Note that in some pics my hair is oily, greasy. Therefore i think i am a diffuse thinner. My hair Just gets a little oily and front hairline and temple gets thin.

I definitely see what you’re concerned about now. It’s a very strange loss pattern, it stretches almost back to the mid-scalp and behind the hairline, but has left just enough hair to conceal everything. Like a mix of conventional recession and diffuse thinning. Sorry to say, but it looks like you’re right. I would say you’re headed for a NW3 after seeing these.

Dang, however, thats what i expected since my 32yo brother is NW3 heading to NW4. Do you think finasteride can solve this sh*t? At least i still have a solid hairline, though its going my father was diffuse thinner with recession, but from my mother side no bald folks. The worst about this IS my horrible density at front hairline and left temple.

I think you would be a good candidate for finasteride, it generally seems to work best with diffuse thinning. You stand a decent chance at regrowth too since the vellus hairs at your hairline have not disappeared yet. The general advice is finasteride, minoxidil and nizoral shampoo. If that doesn’t work, there are other treatments, but those are the easiest to get your hands on.

The good news is you still have lots of hair. It’s just this area in here that looks like it needs help.

The sooner you catch it, the more hair you save. You caught it pretty early.

Thats exactly my left temple, the area with the worst density. Because of these miniaturized hairs,my hair wont stay up and hold a toupee slicked to the side.

Man,thank you a Lot for your input, you were Very helpful and made m realize i am not freaking out,as some people Said i was overreacting over nothing. I know my hair very well, the slightest change will affect It overall quality and i will notice. I will keep you updated as soon as i Hop on finasteride,If i ever get any results

I hope so,brother. My plan is to mantain and pray for some regrowth at the miniaturized areas. I only fear finasteride side effects, mainly the cognitives ones. I have bad mental disorders like severe anxiety and depression,i am concerned finasteride fucks up my mental health even more.

Don't worry, there's a very good chance you won't have any side effects. However, it does happen, and you should always keep in mind that you are altering your hormone profile by taking the drug. There are alternatives to finasteride that you can apply directly to your scalp that won't inhibit your systemic DHT, like RU58841, though they are slightly harder to get your hands on and less convenient to use.
