20yr Old Help Me Please In Making An Important Decision

Hello my balding brothers,
History , from age 17 i am going bald i took 1mg finasteride daily at the age of 17 but discontinued it in just 3 months even tho i didnt experience any sides as i was a bit scared.then i took morrf5 for an year and then i have been on 0.5 mg dutasteride for 1.6 years now but i want to switch back to finasteride since it gave me unbelievable results as soon as i left it and dutasteride just disappointed me with occasional thickness and thinning sessions and didnt control my hair loss much.
So please help me how do i switch
As i read that dutasteride has a half life of like 4 months
So should i wait 4 months and then take finasteride?
Will it effect my body if i have dutasteride in blood stream and i take finasteride?
How do i leave dutasteride after 1.6 yrs should i just stop taking it suddenly?

Please help.me your i will be really thankful of your expertise.

Taking dutasteride at such young age is going to f*** up your hormones and you still gonna be bald at 30

Just start with finasteride is you want, there will be not problem. You can wait the 5 weeks, also .

Now, the worst you can do is start minoxidil and drop it, start finasteride and drop it, this will cause a massive shed with receding hairline, badspot , and most probably hair will not growth again there.

You are to young ( I also started at your age, now 41 ) so most probably is working, but you are looking for a results that this drugs are not going to give it to you ( full regrowth on bald areas )

Well, dutasteride is much stronger and give better results than finasteride. For example, I think that 1 capsule of dutasteride per week will give you, at least the same results, than taking propecia everyday.
Other things are the side effects. Is hard to don't have side effects with any of this drugs, question is this side effects are tolerable or not .

Good thing is that you can keep your hair forever, forget that one that tell you " you will loose it anyway "
With the right treatment, you will not go bald. I now that you can have a lot of anxiety at that age, I was in the same boat.
Finasteride, Dutasteride, Minoxidil, keep working, It did work for me for more than 20 years and counting.

Some people have a genetic tendency to respond better to finasteride but it's rare so I wouldn't count on it.

Start finasteride as soon as you wish, dutasteride will be out of your blood in about 4-6 months.

Go to the Doctor get your bloods tested for the various hormones, start finasteride, monitor your weight and as i done i measured the man downstairs, by doing this your mind cant play tricks on you about sides and you will know if you have genuine sides this way. Hopefully in 2 years we can all get on breezula as a replacement.

That is an excellent advice, most people don't do an hormone check ( Lh, FSH, testosterone, free testosterone, estradiol, etc ) . But it should be a must and then one per year.
Merck made as believe that Propecia is a candy .

I didnt do it the first time i was on finasteride but i got my bloods done a month ago before restarting and will check in a year, people get sides but its obviously negatively skewed on a hairloss website.

dutasteride and finasteride do the exact same thing, but dutasteride is like 5x stronger. What you are saying here makes no sense.
Dutasteride has a halph life of 5 weeks, not 4 months.
If people want something weaker, just take 1 tablet/pill of dutasteride every 5 days. Its much much cheaper and just as effective as finasteride.
