Before I used rogaine, I was a depressed existence trapped in the illuision of an extrovert. At first, I denied my hair loss because I didn't think this phenomenon could happen to 22 year olds. But the more I ignored it, the more I noticed it in pictures, videos, through the attitudes of people and in my day to day life. I looked in the mirror and noticed rapid recession in the front, woke up every day with clumps of hairs on my pillow, got mistaken for being much older than my age and wasn't able to approach girls without them thinking I was much older than I was. It got so bad that I would dim the lights in my bathroom, buzzed my hair really thin, bought a fedora that I wore all the time, took pictures without the flash and canceled plans all together on days that I thought my hair looked awful. I kept my pain a secret. Then one day, I decided enough was enough and tried rogaine foam.
I noticed some regrowth after 3 months. It's been almost 8 months and I've had significant regrowth in the front and even some regrowth in the temples. My success is not only evident in my hair but in my personality as well. I feel much more confident in social situations and a lot less self-conscious about whatever hair loss is still noticeable. I'm so lucky that my girlfriend and friends support my "quest" for regrowth!
Below are some before/after pictures of my progress and my current recession. The "after" shots were all taken this weekend.
