my maternal grandfather went bald late in life,as for my immedatite family my father still has great head of hair and my eldest brother only thinned heavily in the middle and temples and my middle brother is like norwood 5/6Seems like frontotemporal thinning. That area is usually the first to go (most susceptible to DHT). Looks like you still have a great head of hair. If you have family history of hairloss, I would seek meds if you do not want to lose more. With your hair characteristics, medication and possible hair transplants down the line you never have to worry about losing all of your hair.
Given you’re brothers’ hairloss history... if you all have the same hair type then odds are you will follow their footsteps in some fashion. I would get on finasteride right now, if I were you. should i hop on duta now or monitor? i don't want to lose the temples permanently. does duta/fut ever regrew temples on people who took?

If you get on finasteride now I presume you will very slowly lose your thinned corners over the next decade. Other than that you’ll have a full head of hair. Again this is just a presumption. You could very well thicken your thinned temples on finasteride or start losing rapidly. No way to know, but there is a way to take a chance at halting it.
