Hello everyone!

In this thread i'd like to document my hair loss progress (No regimen) and discuss styling, psychological impact etc.

Please let me know if this is interesting for you and if i should keep it up.

Long story short:

23 y/o Diffuse thinner (Norwood 6/7pattern). Apparently started thinning as soon as i hit puberty (15-16 y/o).

Had very long hair for a while. so it was easy to conceal by parting hair on the side. Buzzed it recently.

Hairline is also steadily going up, but remains NW1 looking as it keeps receding in a straight line.

Thoughts and observations:

Buzz cut for diffuse thinners will expose balding way more.

Probably the best way to conceal diffuse thinning is to have somewhat of a long hair on top, so you can part in such way that hairs are layered and covering as much scalp is possible

Long hair is okay too but it's easier to mess up your parting and expose scalp if you're being physically active.

Almost same hair as mine. Not much receding but hella lot thin all over scalp. I am currently on topical finasteride and minoxidil.. Recently added biotion 5mg too..seems to work a bit. Hair has thicken a bit but didn't really help with regrowth.

Poor bluecyclone knows what I’m talking about.
Dude got so much hate even tho he’s obviously thinning. On the other hand it’s super privileged concern, given that he’s almost 40 and can still imitate full head of hair look.

I guess people are not that interested in taking the natural route and letting your hair go.

I’m embracing whatever is going to happen to my hair and appearance. It was too much worry and struggle. This situation consumed a lot of my time and energy that I could’ve use for something way more important and interesting. Now in the middle of pandemic it seems very ungrateful to complain about such things, when people are actually dying and a lot of other crazy things are happening.

With this being said I’m leaving this forum (hopefully forever) and wishing everyone good luck and success in whatever path you’re going to take. Keep in mind that you’re beautiful regardless and there’s much more to you than just your hair.

Peace!

I have been using finasteride in the past approx for half a year. Got bad sides and quit. Pretty sure minoxidil only would be helpless in my situation.

I’m just done stressing about it. It is what is, this thread is just to document my hair loss progress. I’m not considering any androgen inhibitors. Super happy that most sided that i got eventually went away i think i quit it right on time.

You considered Topical Finasteride as I had sides with oral and now I use Topical 0.1% from a compound pharmacy without any issues. You could also supplement with horny goat weed and zinc.

Check my thread:

You had thinning also on the sides not only on top. Unpatterned thinning. Your hair loss was telogen effluvium and not male pattern baldness.

You referring to me than I had AA, but I also had thinning ontop go check pictures, that is from male pattern baldness from my mums side, which I was diagnosed at the Belgravia Hairloss Clinic.

You do know that diffuse hairloss everywhere on the scalp can also be a form of male pattern baldness right?

Nope. It's not. It's called male PATTER BALNDNESS. This is other type of hair loss if the sides thin.

Losing hair all over your head is also a pattern if it's happens often. And well.. it does. It is clinically classified as male pattern baldness. That's a fact.

You are stupid and annoying. Losing hair all over is called alopecia universalis, alopecia totalis. Thinning all over is telogen effluvium. None of these is androgenetic alopecia.

That's bullshit. Men who have that pattern just have other type of hair loss combined with androgenetic alopecia at the same time. For example a telogen effluvium may
uncover ongoing androgenetic alopecia or make it worse. Remember that it takes at least 30% loss of density to become noticeable thinning.

Everything that doesn't fit your narrative is bullshit to you even if it's backed up by science but that's nothing new. I'm not trying to convince you since that's an impossible task. You just reject proof, science and anything that is not in line with your beliefs by either ignoring and rambling some other stuff or by straight up saying "nah". I'm just showing everyone here how stupid and especially delusional you really are. How a 20 year old kid really thinks that he has figured it all out by making a few videos of old men, cherry picking pictures while not understanding angles, lighting or anything about photography really and just talking some pseudo scientific stuff is rather hilarious. No scientist was ever able to crack the code with baldness but the allmighty Mitko wipped out his cam and suddenly called everything else a scam.. give me a break.

Checking in on this... diffusing everywhere and it is definitely AA I regrow but all the hair is thin. The hairline is going now whereas it was mostly crown for two years. Things seemed to worsen on Finasteride. Still no stabilizing.
