23y old SMP and FUE. Advice needed!

Hey guys i'm 23y old with a NW3. I've been taking minoxidil for almost 3 years now, had some good results in preventing further hair loss.
Now I want to do a FUE in march, and make it thicker with SMP. I know im to young, but worst case scenario is that i lose all my hair and still have a bit left in the front. I wil than do a SMP over whole head. I look good with a short cut, Actually if I had a full head of hear I would buzz it of like i always did.

But my question is now I can't use minoxidil after SMP, because of the alcohol it could damage the pigment. I really need something after SMP to prevent further hair loss but I don't want to use finasteride because I scared for the side effects. So what do I do?

Btw Only my temples have receded and a little of my harline.

If you've only had some temple recession and look good with short hair, why not skip the expensive, time consuming and somewhat painful surgery, and cut to the chase? Shave your head right now.

The idea that guys are so ashamed of being seen with any degree of hair loss whatsoever, that you would jump through all those other hoops, surgery and scalp tattoo, just to get to the same place you're at right now 90% of the way already... it's really unnecessary and kind of saddening.
