25, Possible Thinning At The Crown.

I believe my cowlick is thinning.. But I need a second opinion before I start panicking. Most men on my father's side are balding. My mother's, not so much. My grandfather on my mom's side still has a head full of hair.

From these pictures I don't think you have anything to worry about. I can't see any thinning, just the regular "swirl" of your vertex. I'm sure others will chime in and give you their opinions, but what I'd suggest is maybe taking pics every month or so for a while just to be sure.. but honestly, I see nothing to worry about.

what made you suddenly start examining your crown? have you taken closeups of it before? most likely just a swirl.

I went to a family reunion recently and a lot of my relatives on my dad's side, including he my dad, went bald in that particular area. So I feared that maybe the same would happen to me

Really appreciate it. I'll keep an eye on things monthly. Trying not to get paranoid. It's just most of my relatives on my dad's side go bald in that area. Plus a lot of my peers in my age group are starting to have or have had hair issues.

it may be something you have to deal with in the future, but you have finasteride if it ever gets to that point! your dads relatives probably didn't have that in their arsenal.

don't be too paranoid, but do keep and eye on it, and if it happens then you have a line of defense.
