hey there guys. I've decided to post my brief story. My hairline started receding at the age of 19. By the time I was 21 I shaved my head and figured out that I'm Norwood 2. It really sneaked on me for some reason, I've been neglecting it for way too long. For some reason my hairline recession slowed down after I was drafted for military service shortly after that discovery. But I've noticed that my hair keeps thinning out and 1 month ago I decided to adopt a sctrict routine to combat this, and guess what - it's working. I'm gonna attach some pictures now, Sadly my before pics are kinda ****ty since I forgot to use flash.

You are obviously using minoxidil(many dark hairs on the forehead) and dermaroller(redness and some little wounds in the temple areas). I hope you are on finasteride too, longterm sustain with minoxidil only is almost impossible=) Anyway, nice regrow.

Wow, that's an accurate guess. I just can't make myself use it, I'm just not comfortable with all the possible sides, though I know that the odds of getting them are pretty slim

Don't worry about the sides. You can die from an over the counter pain or diarrhea medication lol. You can't even over dose on finasteride. It's a safe drug. Sexual sides are temporary if you're unlucky to get them. And even if you get them, most go away on their own. The only permanent side effect would be gyno but I think there is treatment even for that and the risk is very low anyway.

Life is a risky business.

Sadly, but minoxidil is just an addiction to finasteride, DHT will take-over without it very soon=(
Don't worry about sides. And you can always stop, if you want.

Has anyone ever tried doing it without the finasteride? Like replacing it with other 5AR inhibitors? Hell, I really don't feel like taking finasteride, it gives me heebie jeebies. I know it's irrational but it's just not okay with me

Finasteride is a relatively safe drug. Plenty of people have been taking the drug for over 20 years with no problems. Its the best treatment that we have, and no minoxidil will not fix the root problem to your hairloss. You best option is finasteride or dutasteride.

Your story is very much like mine. Its funny because I took a few photos myself and was getting ready to upload them and I quickly look at your thread and thought "Dafuq? Did my stuff post itself?" lol. I just need a few more posts so I can start my own threads.
