Hey guys,

I'm new to this forum and wanted some advice from you guys on my hair loss. First, here are some pics of my crown and temples.

My first question is - This is definitely male pattern baldness right? Or just a temporary hair loss which can be treated with proper diet and exercise?
Second - If it is male pattern baldness, how bad is it? Can it be reversed to some extent?
Third - How fast does it progress? Will I become completely bald in the next 2-3 years?

Thank you all in advance!

Looks like classic male pattern baldness. Changing your Diet and exercise won't do a thing unfortunately.

Seeing how weak your temple points are looking (and your crown) I think it would be unwise to wait and see what happens as you will likely end up with significant hair loss by 30.

The good news is that you can significantly slow down the hair loss, and likely get a degree or regrowth with meds

Your main options are get on finasteride, nizoral and rogaine

Or

Keep it short with a view to shave it down on the future.

You can confirm your diagnosis with a hair loss specialist/dermatologist. Do your research about the medications

Thanks for your advice @doyle11

So I did some research and decided to start off with Nizoral to keep the scalp clean along with black tea and pumpkin seeds to reduce DHT and some Vitamin D(1000 IU per day). minoxidil and finasteride seem to have too many side effects(at least that's what some folks say on this forum) and I'm not ready to take the risk yet. I'll think about it probably after I have kids, lol.

I'll post pictures after 6-8 months and compare them with yesterday's pics to see if it improves/worsens/remains the same.

Brace yourself to continue losing more hair. I tried saw palmetto, green tea capsules, biotin and all that crap for over a year. The only result was I lost ground that will never be fully recovered. Are you serious about not being bald? Then get on the real treatments now because time is your enemy, otherwise enjoy your downwards spiral that will end in regret as you look back on how easily it could've been reverse had you acted the moment you made this post.

Its male pattern baldness :( but your hairline is good shape little thinning but its is in early stage, but crown is thinning little bad, go now to finasteride and you regrowth to a good density.

You only need finasteride.
