3-4 months on big three update photos

I posted this in another forum but it looks like it'll get more exposure here.

well I've been on Rogaine 5% for 4 months and Propecia for 3 along with Nizoral shampoo. I just took my 2nd set of photos and I almost cried when I saw how much of a difference it has made already. I'm still in shock. I'm really noticing it mainly in the back but the front and the whole top of my head doesn't seem as exposed as it used to be. I really want to thank everyone who posted here at HairLossTalk.com. This is the place that got me goin on my regimen. I plan on taking pictures approx every three months and keeping everyone posted.

Thanks for all the positive comments. I gotta say I'm pretty psyched. The past couple of months I tried not to think too much about my hairloss and my expectations were pretty low but I made a commitment to keep going for a year. When I took the photos yesterday and today and compared them to the first set my jaw dropped. I really didn't expect that much growth in such a short period of time. I usually have pretty bad luck too. I think it's very important for anyone starting a regimen to keep some sort of photo journal. Honestly, If I didn't have these pictures I would have had no idea that it's working so well.

I also have to thank Dr. Bernstein. I originally went to him for a hair transplant consultation. He said he didn't feel I was ready for a hair transplant and said I was a really good candidate for Propecia. It was a free consultation and he wrote me a 1 year prescription for Propecia. I think that says a lot about his character. I emailed him the pics today and thanked him.

Anyway...thanks again for the comments and all the help I got from searching this site.

Your results look amazing! Congratulations! I wish I had the same results in my month 10 on minoxidil + nizoral and month 8 on finasteride.

Excellent regrowth. The "front" is always tougher to grow back, probably due to the fact that those follicles are most sensitive (more damaged?) to the effects of DHT. Don't give up!

I haven't gotten my hair cut in like 2 years....ponytail (thin)down to the middle of my back. As soon as it gets a little thicker on top I'll be glad to get rid of my 80's-90's upbringing
That was one of the things that really sucked. I was in a happenin band about 10 years ago. Hot chicks left and right. Then my hair started to fall out and it all went to shi*. I try not to look at the old show photos where my bangs were really long and thick down past my chin. Oh well. Just getting back into playing and hopefully I'll be giging again in a couple of months.

You have similar loss (mine is less noticable overall) to me and essentially the same time table for results. Hopefully you will see improvement on the front by month 10.

The first side effect I had was a real increase in sex drive. Then a couple of weeks ago it took a nosedive but I feel it's starting to come back slowly. However, my "drive" has always kind of see-saw'd a bit. So far no problems performing though. I also had a a few breakouts, but again that happened to me once in a while when I wasn't taking finasteride.
I also experienced a bit a dandruff but that's pretty much stopped.

Shed...I don't know if I'd call it a shed. When I first started taking minoxidil 5% my hairloss was similar to when I wasn't taking anything. After a week on finasteride my hairloss stopped for a few days..not a hair in the shower...then it started again and I think about a month later it slowed again and continued to slow down. The past couple of weeks there seems to be a normal amount of hair in the drain after a shower...maybe 10. My age.....I'm just about 34.

thats great results bud, 3-4 congrats. I started a week ago and im praying to have results like you , well i have pretty more hair then you in before but im thinning fast, im hoping to have results like you but im not using propecia, do u think propecia really does the job ?

amazing results. the hairline on ur crown seems to have tightened up by at least a few inches. ur temples look thicker and more healthy and i dont know what ur complaining about bcos ur hairline looks much thicker. probably doesnt as much to u just bcos uve had even more amazing results on ur crown.

i know u cant answer this for sure but do u feel propecia or minoxidil has played the bigger role in ur regrowth?

im currently just on propecia. i might add minoxidil if my hair gets really bad and ive ridden out propecia, but might not necessarily want to shave my head. how do u find adding minoxidil with such long hair? details on this would b much appreciated.
