Hi Guys,

Just thought I would give an update on my current situation. Started Propecia in July. for the first few weeks I noticed a decrease in my sex drive(although I think it might have been in my head). I didnt have any other side effects although my wife says my c*m is less sticky now and more watery....didnt notice any differnce to be honest, but I can handle that if its the only side effect I suffer with.

As for my hair, well I have always had a good volume of hair on the front and sides but the back of my head was really getting bad, to be honest I never knew untill my wife told me about a year ago....it didnt bother me till recently when I noticed I was getting a bit thinner on the front as well.

Since I started taking propecia I don`t think I have had any noticable improvements, in fact I would think the back of my head has gotten worse...my wife told me last week that it looks worse and actually a friend a work today told me I was going quite bold at the back(thanks mate!).

I always said I will continue taking it for a year before I judge it so at the moment I`ll keep going, from what I have read on here its normal that its gets worse before it gets better so I hope thats whats happeneing with me.

I havn`t noticed any extra shedding, I noticed hair in the bath before I took propecia and its the same now, I never really look too much into this as its normal to lose hair when you wash it, so how can I tell if its because of male pattern baldness or its just dead hair?.......everyone loses a certain amount of hair and propecia wont stop that!.

Been thinking about Regaine, BUT I don`t really want any more extra costs and I am always very rushed in the morning(6am start work) and wouldn`t be able to fart about with putting it on at 5am....i dont even get time for breakfast.

Also I hear the hair that grows from this stuff is poor quality and more like fuzz....be interested to know from ppl that use it??.

So all in all nothing positive yet but no bad side effects and still early days so its a case of being paitent!

minoxidil takes like 2 seconds 2 put on. It takes longer 2 brush your teeth. You need 2 add the minoxidil for regrowth. And the regrowth you get with minoxidil will eventually become normal hair if you have a dht blocker like propecia.

But propecia alone can get some regrowth on the crown and thats my main problem at the moment. I will give propecia a year and if after the year I have not seen any regrowth I might think about regaine but I would rather not get involved with it.

Dont count on propecia alone to fill in that crown. If your worried about the extra cost switch to proscar with the savings from that, then switch to generic minoxidil.....you'll be glad you did
