hello all. i'm about 3 months into finasteride at the moment. from what i've read here, this is when the hairloss should just about stop right?

well, should i be concerned that it is not, in fact, stopping? that now, hair more readily falls out when i tug at it a little? or is this natural? (the way i tug at it isn't with a closed fist, i just run my fingers through and press the fingers together)

i don't notice much difference in density when i look in the mirror. it's just i notice a few more hairs falling out compared to when i first started finasteride.

is this just a shed cycle? will it get alot worse before it gets better? thanks.

The point at which the hair stabilizes is varied depending on the person, some say to wait 12 months before expecting any noticable effects. :?

but is it normal to see more loss before that period? i know people say it's a shed cycle, but then again, my doctor and many people have said you don't shed on finasteride.

i suppose it could be from stopping minoxidil, but it's been 3 months, any regrowth from minoxidil should be gone already.

either way, i'm going to keep with the drug for the moment, just wanted some encouragement and reassurance, thanks guys.

From reding these forums it'd be fair to say that it varies from person to person, very unpredictable mate. Some never shed, some do and have big regrowth, some shed once and then maintain, some shed & shed and some shed, regrow, shed, regrow...

It's a lottery so best of luck.
