Hey guys,

Most of the posts I clicked through today seem to be young guys worried about going bald who are not actually going bald at all. So I feel a bit weird posting pictures of actual baldness on this forum. lol. ;)

Anyway, maybe some of the older or more experienced posters have some experience and they can offer advice.

I've always just shaved my hair bald, but thought I'd have a go and growing some back just for fun. Why not? It can't hurt. Surprisingly, after 3 months it seems I actually got some results. My hair appeared a bit thicker. I was hopeful ... but a week later it all seemed to fall out ... and more!

Now I've heard of "shedding" before ... so maybe this is actually a good thing? Like all that hair that fell out is going to be replaced with even better hair?

FWIW, I use minoxidil 5%, ketaconozole shampoo, derma-rolling 1.5mm once per week, Rosemary Oil, Lavender Oil and Emu Oil.

Good protocol, but why no DHT blocker?
Thanks! Well, the ketaconozole shampoo and the Rosemary oil are both suspected of blocking DHT. Not so much "blocking" in the case of the shampoo, but the end result is kind of the same...

I tried Finasteride for a little while like 10 years ago or something and I didn't like it. I'd rather go egg-bald than not be able to spend "quality time" with my girlfriend. Enough said. ;) And who knows what else it is doing?

If there's some other topical DHT-blocker you would recommend I'd be interested.

Topical dutasteride seems to be a good candidate for some. Can't say i trust most topical solutions. Unless they go systemic to some degree they are worthless.

Why would you think that?

There's plenty of topical medications that work for a whole heap of stuff. Including minoxidil.

Im quite hesitant to take a systemic DHT blocker. I think I'd rather just go totally bald. Already half way there anyway. Lol.
