I was previously on Propecia for 18 months.
3 months ago I originally tried 0.5mg dutasteride per day. I was taking Propecia as well just why I started and the dutasteride builds up. After about 2 weeks I stopped as I had serious Gyno. Within 2 days my nipples were sore and puffy. This continued and within 2 weeks I had a lump under my chest. I stopped dutasteride. Continued Propecia and took Nolva (Anti Estrogen on the breast) for 6 weeks. Gyno disappeared.
So anyway this time round I have tried dutasteride at 0.5MG every Monday and Thursday. This is 1mg a week and should be equivalent of 5mg finasteride per day. Or so the studies say
After about 2 weeks I had the littlest of itch / puffiness on my nipples.
I have done some things differently this time. I have stopped propecia and gone straight on to dutasteride. I thought taking both at once might of contributed to the Gyno. Since the light itch on my nipples of I have been taking 20mg Nolva. I have been doing this for 15 days now since nipping it in the but early most the puffy / sore nipples have gone. I plan to stay on 20mg Nolva for another 15 days followed by 20mg Nolva every second day for 15 more days. I will then see if any Gyno occurs.
If not I will then up it to 1.5mg a week.
******What I am wondering guys if dutasteride has a this strong effect on my body do you think the same effect will be on my hair? *********
