3 YEAR UPDATE ON FINASTERIDE 1MG PROGRESS

Hello all. Long story short, I have been taking finasteride for 3 years now, 1mg every day. When I first started, my hair loss my very minimal. Some even say I had no loss to begin with. I’ve also always have sort of thin hair and a high hairline. I’ve been posting here every year with an update. (i am attaching my first post here as well for reference https://www.hairlosstalk.com/interact/threads/finally-my-1-year-finasteride-results.118827/ I have had NO SIDES. I had watery semen and first and minor ball ache but it went away in the first month. What do you guys think about my hairline?

I was getting itchy in the corners of my hairline and was seeing a good amount of hair fall in the shower. My dad is also bald but no one from my mother’s side. I’m 25 right now

I personally would not have taken it if I were you, but if you don’t have sides and your benefiting then who cares.

Almost every one in this forum had said I never had loss. Idk if I’m just being paranoid but it seemed like it especially that one corner. Im using 1mg Aurobindo. No sides with it

Thanks. I eased into it slowly, starting with 1mg pill per week and upping the dosage. It definitely helped avoid side effects in my opinion. Good to know I’m in good grounds though!

Yeah I 100 percent agree with slowly upping the dose in the beginning first time I tried finasteride I had some minor sides in the beginning and eventually got off and waited until I was 22 and tried again by slowly upping the dose and had less sides but I was also older too so that may of helped things.

Yeah I 100 percent agree with slowly upping the dose in the beginning first time I tried finasteride I had some minor sides in the beginning and eventually got off and waited until I was 22 and tried again by slowly upping the dose and had less sides but I was also older too so that may of helped things.

Definitely vouch for that slow dosage increase. I have been told my various reliable sources that they took this approach and have not developed sides

No blood work done. I have been functioning fine though. Libido is as it’s always been and I’m 25.

Since it is a chronical medicine that will inhibit many hormones formation , like allopregnolone, is an smart idea to at least check LH, FSH, DHT, Testosterone, Estratiol, Free testosterone and progesterone ( the natural finasteride that have the body to regulate 5-alpha reductase and aromatase at the same time ) .
You can't fool your body .

Nevermind. Even in hairloss forums and communities people are ignorant about diffuse thining, which yes, also can rip your temples. My hair looks and feels like sh*t but people insist I'm not balding.
