3 Years Of Finasteride Progress, Possible Switch To Dutasteride

Hi guys,

I’ve come across two photos of myself which are exactly 3 years apart, with me starting finasteride around 3 years ago also so thought I’d share.

Would you say this is a good result or would it be worth switching over to dutasteride to halt the hairloss even more effectively, or stick with finasteride for now?

The lighting is less instense and my hair is a little more combovery in the first picture, but is still a decent enough comparison.

Your temples look worse on the second one but idk if it's the light, camera angle or hair style. You be the judge of the overale state of your hair compared to 3 years ago (you know better than anyone else).
That being said, if you havent had any side effects from finasteride, trying duta in order to see regrowth wouldnt be a bad idea.

Yeah it’s slowly getting worse, I’d say it’s thinned aswell but it’s hard to keep track of these things. I don’t get any sides at all on finasteride so maybe worth trying dutasteride once I run out of finasteride. I’ve just had an fue aswell so wel see how I get on.

So your telling me that after all those 3years on finasteride you didn’t see much improvement?
I would just say try some minoxidil bro and finasteride. Both work well for what I have read.

I just got my finasteride pills yesterday but I’m kind of scared lol for any side affects. I’m actually waiting till Monday to start

I wouldn’t say Iv had any regrowth no, finasteride is just for maintenance wouldn’t expect any regrowth.

I used minoxidil for a while but stopped a few months before my hair transplant, started it again last week.

Hardly anyone gets sides, can always stop if that’s the case anyway.

Yes if you stop minoxidil bro you will see lots of shedding lol that happened to me I think I’m going back once I start my finasteride. But thanks for your info

Yeah course, they’re the small minority but it can happen, give it at least a year before you expect any results tho
