3 Years On finasteride. Time To Add The Rest Of The Big 3?

25 years old. Been on finasteride for 3 years. Think it's greatly slowed any male pattern baldness progression, but I'm starting to see more thinning little by little. Left temple and side of head are worse than the right. I've posted pics of both for comparison. Also starting to diffuse a bit in vertex and crown. It might be time to add minoxidil and/or keto. Thoughts?

I would say, yep, no real reason not too. One application of liquid minoxidil at evening about 2 hours before sleep and using Keto every 3 to 4 days, about the size of a dime-nickel and you will be in good shape. Naturally once you start minoxidil you can't quit until you ready to lose any gains, but if you already at finasteride that shouldn't be a problem. And of course, don't panic and quit when the shed comes in at 3-6 months.

Appreciate the response. Do you think any potential shed can be effectively covered up by toppik? Is a shed even sure to happen? If so, is it always a good sign? I'm really hoping that adding minoxidil and keto can help me bridge the gap until hopefully a future treatment comes out. How were your results?

minoxidil is a SERIOUS pain in the ***. I doubt you'll keep up with it in the long term and its not worth the initial shed. Add keto shampoo because its simple but only add minoxidil if you clearly know what you're getting yourself into and the amount of time you'll spend on it.

Did you use foam or liquid? Also I feel at this point I could use some regrowth and from what I understand, keto won't really regrow anything.

Liquid. If you are happy to walk around with it in your hair all day and use it 2x per day then go for it, but its not fun. I lasted 6 months before I realised it was a waste of time and too much of a hassle, even if it helped my hair marginally.

So you got some results but ultimately decided against it? Interesting. I've read that the foam is a little easier to use. I'm thinking if I used the liquid, I'd start out once a day, a little before bed. Might try microneedling as well. Have you found any results from anything else? How long have you been on current treatments? What Norwood are you?
