I've always had a big forehead and widow's peak, so I've been temple frauding since I was 12 lol. Now the temples are coming back a good deal, and I've accepted it and keep my hair short (its longest its been in a while here and am cutting it soon). What usually happens when recession starts this late? I haven't had any thinning up top, and I can handle just recession. Also where am I on the Norwood thing? Everything looks so much more dramatic because of my massive Eastern European forehead.

Thanks.

Are you taking Finastride or Minoxidil?
Your crown looks to be thinning a bit also and your receding hairline will most likely go further back over time. I would say you're a 4 on the Norwood scale, or heading in that direction.

Nah no medications. I don't begrudge anyone taking them but I fear what would happen with start/stopping them, and I also have a general attitude of acceptance at this point, but I completely understand people who get blackpilled about it.
I didn't notice any crown thinning before this so that's good to know, just thought it was cowlicks etc. Denial is strong.

I wouldn't just give up and accept it if I were you. You still have a decent amount of hair and you could absolutely save it at this point, with potential regrowth, if you started the medication. I don't like telling anyone whether they should or shouldn't take finasteride/minoxidil, at the end of the day it's your hair. But I will say that I let the fear of side effects get the better of me for far too long as well but it the end I just went for it and it saved my hair. I'll never look back.

It's the brain fog part that worries me. But I appreciate your reply and I will take it into account and make a decision one way or the other soon.
