4 months in and still down hill

I take 0.5mg on Sun and Thursday currently. I started at every day but hair got really dry and straw like so dropped to 3 tabs and now 2 tabs, scalp is a bit dry at times but the hair I have is in good condition. Still losing hair and u shapes at front quite pronounced and thin in the centre. Still feels thinner than pre dutasteride all over.

I started Spectral DNC again this week with an aim to ensure I keep it up this time. As internals are not working at this time then topical is all that is left.

I am reluctnat to stop internals altogether even though I have only seen loss on them. Giving up internals would seem like a massive give up of part the regiem. I would rather drop dutasteride does even further and give it up all together...or I could go back to samll dose of finasteride.

How about try raising the dose? Were you losing hair while on dutasteride every day? if not, cutting back was really foolish

4 months is nothing. If your get a big enough estrogen boost, which is good for hair, you will get a shed that can last 6 months. Most people were above baseline in the phase II trials though. I trust Avodart. i'm just a tiny bit afraid of generics, and not sure how much enzyme suppression I want, especially since Doctor is scared too. I think finasteride is safe though, and I prefer to get extra power from topicals.

Doesn't matter which dose I was on I was losing hair, trying to find the right dose. I tried all diff doses for finasteride and dutasteride.
I'm staying on the twice a week dutasteride as higher dose did not do anything but I don't want to drop internals. I don't get sides on dutasteride but on the daily dose my hair quality did not feel good so that's the reason I lowered dose and now quality of hair is better.
Just started Spectral DNC again. Gonna give that at least 6 months this time.

id like to see picts of ur baseline if u have any and ones of now. blueshard posted that he wus losing tons of hair on dutasteride yet his pictures show hes above baseline.
