It's difficult to say from those pictures. Any slight difference in your hairline could be attributed to the difference in lighting, for instance.

Are you sure it's male pattern baldness?

I think there is a slight difference and that on the left (as you look at the picture) you have new hairs coming out and a slight thickening (very slight) overall. Just my opinion and also like the member states above, give it more time for sure.

A year (not a joke).

Yep. A year is correct. It takes time to regrow hair just like it took to lose it. The average time to see results with any treatment is between 7 month to 1 year.

People, don´t forget the question. The question was "is finasteride working"?
Well, I say yes. You have maintained your hair. Finasteride first objective is to stop further loss. It happens with 90% of the users, and with you, I believe that happened.
Some lucky folks (about 48%) get a second benefit of the drug - regrow some hair. But if that doesn´t happen, it doesn´t mean that the drug isn´t working!

The only way to tell with certainty is if you quit the drug - if you have shedding after, it means FInasteride worked (and that hair would be the hair finasteride dependent).

Cheers

youve definitely maintained and the left side looks a bit thicker to me. but as has been said, give it a year before you make any judgements.
