Something troubles me for the past few days... There's a lot of white powder (minoxidil obviously) all over the walls of the bottle and since I can't remember I've seen powder in 2% minoxidil I used before (might be due to lower concentration of minoxidil) I was wondering is something "wrong" with my minoxidil? Do you guys have the powder on the walls of Rogaine bottles or Kirkland or any other 5% brand you use?

I've seen this. It can also crystalize in the sprayer orafice, sometimes clogging the works. There's a limit to how much minoxidil stays solutionized in a given solvent under certain conditions. The result can be precipitation of the solute. This happens with salt in water, flour in eggs, Nestle's Quick in milk.

Give it a few shakes (the bottle, that is) before each use and you'll be fine.

That's exactly what I do before application but I'm worried if not enough minoxidil stays solutionized and that I actually get smaller amount of it than I would in stable 2% solvent!

Very unlikely....you're over-worrying this. Shake, apply morning and night, and forget about it.

I get a white powdery covering on my slick bald temples after Dr. L's minoxidil dries. Do others experience this too ? Its embarassing coz it shines and can be seen easily. Is it OK if I remove this powdery substance once the minoxidil dries ??

Yeah, I also noticed the white powdery stuff on my hair after using Dr. Lee's minoxidil.

Me also...I've wondered if it's actually unabsorbed minoxidil crystals since the stuff dries so quick.
