I am starting the 6th month on finasteride and 2% minoxidil. I experienced shedding in the first and second months. Currently, I lose 30 to 60 hairs while washing and brushing. However, I have noticed that the hair has deteriorated over these full 5 months and it is worse than at the beginning. The problem is at the top of my head and I use minoxidil there. In contrast, it got worse in the front and center of the head. Is there an explanation for this? Maybe the hair that fell out is dormant or will never grow again. Did you also have this during treatment or did it look better after 5 months?
