I saw some old threads with some information about 5AR-1 reduction with varying dutasteride doses, but I couldn’t find sources on it. Is there any information for this on doses other than every day? I’m curious because of the possible effect 5AR-1 reduction could have on acne.

Here is a recent investigation that employs Dutasteride as a treatment for both Acne and Androgenic Alopecia on a 23-year old male and a 26-year-old male. While the results indicate Dutasteride may help by causing the downregulation of DHT active on the dermal papillae, I would highly recommend utilizing more acne-specific compounds, such as topical Tretinoin or even its comparative species, Azelaic Acid, also known to locally reduce DHT.
