i've seen a SLIGHT change in hair coming back on my 5th month and ALL im using is PROPECIA.....

question: HOW CAN I THICKEN MY HAIR??

shampoo? herbs?

MY MAIN CONCERN asking this question is that i DO NOT want to have a commitment with anything like propecia....Im broke as it is doing my masters and i dont want another expense and plus i travel so much i dont want to have the hassle. I mean push come to shove i will but was wondering if someone had ideas.

ive searched using the tool on here but seriously, TOO MUCH INFO all over that i couldnt find what im looking for.

you can artificially thicken it with a shampoo such as L'Oreals Elvive Thickening Regenium XY stuff. or if you want to go down the concealer route, something like toppik or nanogen

Im don't use a a hair thickener but I do use a hair concealer. I have been using toppik. It works great but depending how much you need it can get costly.

I know what you mean about school cost! Im about done with my undergrad and about to go into med school. Im taking a class this summer where just books totals 350$ for 1 class!!

I use minoxidil, nizol, dutas and toppik...I don't care how much it is costing me I will cont. using it even though Im broke! I will ask for additional loans from school to pay for my regimen if need be! ha!

so im thinking something NATURAL just for personal preference... would Toppik actually THICKEN my hair or just give it an appearance. I bought their sawdust in black color onnly for goin to weddings and parties but didnt buy their shampoos. So is ther anything natural i can get in stores?

following question, is this another life long commitment to use such a shampoo? When i mean life long i mean i WILL have days where i wont be able to use it 2 days in a row due to a. travel, b. hiking etc.

I KNOW this is not part of the forum section but what about ROGAINE FOAM??? can i take that WHILE taking propecia? WHAT IF I STOP TAKING ROGAINE FOAM all of a sudden?...will it induce hair loss?

THANKS EVERYONE!

eh, what do you mean by "thicken"? More hair density or increased diameter of the hair shaft? Of course toppik won't actually thicken your hair, it's a concealer - it just looks like it does.

you don't have to use it everyday, it's just a shampoo. the thickening effects will last for a while. You have to understand that it's not real thickening, it just coats your hair with some funky stuff temporarily.

WHY ARE YOU WRITING IN CAPS? :p

Now, see, rogaine foam IS a "life long commitment". If you use it, regrow hair, and then discontinue use - the hair you regrew will fallout in a few weeks/months.

As for the natural question, no: rubbing potatoes and beans on your hair from some hippy herb store isn't going to work ok?

Natural is overrated. I'll take science and clinical trials over hemp and tie-dye anyday.
