No, no pics.
Well its February so that means another year on Finasteride.
My hair loss started slow at 18 and was ok until about 25 when I started rapidly losing hair, I'm 32 now. I ended up a extremely thin and nasty looking Norwood 3.5'ish and now I am a very thick and healthy NW3. I know that doesn't sound like much (mainly because the Norwood scales are lacking) but the difference is staggering.
6 months later I switched to cutting up proscar , 7 months later I added minoxidil and About 9 months later I added Copper Peptides & Nizoral (tea tree conditioner is the best follow up to nizoral IMO.)
All is well and I am maintaining nicely with no problems except that off the shelf minoxidil irritates the hell out of my scalp so I have to use Dr Lees items 500 and Rogaine foam. I love those forms of minoxidil since they dry within a minute or two.
I only use 1 dose of Minoxidil a day now and have for the last 4 years or so.
My regimen is extremely cheap and easy.
In between I have added and dropped countless vitamins which IMO are a waste of time and money.
I full expect my regimen to continue to work for at least another 5 years and when it does fail I imagine it will be gradual.
I'm kinda at the point where I don't really care if I lose it all anymore which is amazing since at one point it terrified me and I wore a hat the moment I left my bedroom. Now my hair is buzzed cut and I go for the "yeah I'm going bald but I am not hiding it" look.
Any questions? Ask away....if I fail to respond to a question send me a PM and I will answer it here.
My best advice is to be patient, see a doctor and try to get your finasteride from him/her. Don't over react to negative posts on a forum as people with success and no problems rarely post. Don't go for the kitchen sink approach right away by adding a ton of treatments...do research and add things slowly. Stick with treatments that have a proven scientific track record. Do not use some trendy new treatment that people suddenly fawn over. I have seen hundreds of garbage treatments come and go when people get too excited about something new with mere potential.
Good luck to all of you...I wish you all nothing but success and thank you for taking the time to read this post.
PS. NO sexual side effects and no shedding.
