8 months on finasteride. Good so far!! With Pics

Well i posted this on the Tell Your Story forum also...It goes like this i was losing my hair alot,everyday some on the pillow it was Horrible.

I have been on finasteride for 8 months no more loss, slow but steady regrowth and a ton of small blond Vellus hais still growing so for those of you on finasteride just stick it out and good luck!!!!! :hairy:

8 months ago hair was really thin and falling out daily.

Today i have good thickness and still growing with alot of Vellus hairs & no MORE HAIR FALLING OUT!

Congrats Gtores! Did you have an initial shed on finasteride and if so how long did it last. How soon did finasteride "kick in" for you after you started to take it. I ask because there are many folks on this forum whose shedding accelerated after they began finasteride and continued for several months. Do you still lose some hair in the shower or when applying topical stuff?

Well i saw some shedding only about 2 months into it and i was like crap it looks worse cause it DID!!! but then into the 4th month no loss at all then about the 5th month people said your hair looks different without knowing i was on anything.
Now no shedding no nothing just growing with a ton of the vellus hairs all over. :hairy:

Thats good to know. I think you should also add minoxidil to the mix to stimulate more growth. I'd say try Spectral or Rogaine Foam.

I really DON'T want minoxidil right now because it's growing in nice without having to be "stuck" on minoxidil. Remember the hairs minoxidil grows die as soon as you stop minoxidil so i'll stay just with finasteride since the results are ok so far.

Well, but it is the same with finasteride. Once you stop you will lose your regrowth!

It looks really good. Do you happen to have any pics prior to starting Finasteride? I am in total agreement with you on staying off of minoxidil unless it's a last ditch effort. I don't think minoxidil grows quality hair and everytime I have experimented with it, my hair looks worse. I am a good responder to Finasteride alone as you are. If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

The first Pic you see is where i was losing a massive amount of hair and it was bad i had just started finasteride the day before.

Good going, man. It never stops amazing me how much regrowth finasteride only gives to some people.
