Has anybody tried 82M as a replacement for rogaine (or for propecia, for that matter)? Did a search, and the results were pretty minimal.
I've been in discussions with Shapiro Medical Group in Minneapolis, and recently went in for an in-person consultation. During our discussion, they mentioned that they've seen significant results with patients using Dr. Bauman's (baumanmedical.com) "82M" formula.
Reading the white paper (http://www.scribd.com/Doctor/109423398/Bauman-Medical-Formula-82M-Minoxidil-v-100512-AJBauman), and reaching out to his office, I found that it contains anti-DHT components, as well as anti-inflammatory ingredients, plus the 5% minoxidil. Directly from the white paper:
"Formula 82M contains 5% minoxidil, tretinoin, the topical steroid 0.01% fluocinolone, and a natural 5-alpha reductase blocking agent, oleanolic acid, in addition to several other ingredients. As unique and important as the ingredient composition is the proprietary method of solubilizing and stabilizing the mixture which allows better stability, longer shelf life, and improved usability of the Formula 82M compounded configuration."
The testing done was fairly significant (as seen in the white paper), and the results were pretty damn amazing.
I'm thinking about giving it a shot, but am awaiting to hear back from Dr. Bauman's office regarding pricing, etc. So far, they've told me that in order to be prescribed 82M, there's a $100 one-time administrative fee (which can be used towards any in-house procedure in the future), but I'm trying to see if I can get around that.
