Hey guys,

So I've been on Regaine for probably about 16 months (I'm 22) and the results for me have been very satisfying. It's helped restore my hairline unbelievably and it's also helped at the crown too although this wasn't really my problem area. However I now feel like I'm at risk of missing the crown with the Regaine as it's pretty tough to get it into the scalp when you've got a decent amount of hair to sift through. With that in mind, I'm gonna get on finasteride now too, so that I can preserve the success I've enjoyed and hopefully further it.

Thanks!

Been on it for just over 4 months and seen a great improvement. I had been receding since I was about 18 and never worried too much - my dad has a full head of hair so I thought it was just a mature hairline. When I was 28 my hair started thinning at the front, which got me very worried - I have very long hair so it was very noticeable to me. I had to start parting my hair differently to hide the thinning - not good! Had a noticeable thin spot at the front. I don't think anybody else really noticed because when you have long hair people think you could never go bald.
Anyway, I really believed that finasteride would help. It took me a long time to take the plunge - I read the horror stories and got really scared about taking it.
My experience has been great!
In just 4 monts i have seen a fantastic difference! My thinning spot on my hairline has really started filling in again, there are lots of little hairs growing where it was once slick bald! Cosmetically it has made a huge difference as I dont even think about going bald anymore. Before I was constantly looking in the mirror getting more and more depressed now I check the mirror every month checking for new hair and it seems to get better roughly every month. It's fantastic for me and I would recommend it to anyone. Don't be afraid of the horror stories - I haven't experienced side effects apart from maybe a tiny bit of ball ache although I may of had that anyway - you get a little paranoid when you're taking finasteride.
I'm in the UK, when I ordered my first batch it took 2 weeks, the second time it took just over a month and I almost ran out so I would recommend ordering often.
Good luck, I hope you have good results.

as you're in the UK I would strongly advise getting a private prescrip from your doctor (of generic 5mg, not 1mg, and cutting each pill into fifths) as it works out about £5 for a 9 months supply.

only problem is that some GPs won't prescribe the generic, but mine did

E-mail (what I did) a walk in clinic and tell them you are buying finasteride off the internet and tell them you are worried about the quality of the drugs and whether or not it was illegal, safe etc, basically bull**** them, I got a quick response from a local clinic and the dermatologist said he'd have no problem prescribing me generic finasteride as he'd prefer me getting from a legit source.

I'm actually going to see him on Wednesday for a script as I only have 40 days or so left of finpecia.
