My dad's got almost the same hairline. He's got no temple points though, and his widows peak is a little bit smaller... I don't think there is a specific pattern for how mature hairlines develop though. His hairline is similar to his dad's... Can you find any pics of this guy's dad?

Yeah dads are obviously the bestway to gauge how you will progress. My family is all norwood 2s. Just our natural hairline. My dads hairline has crept back but in unison. Has the same exact hairline shape but is just further back.

Dads aren't always the best way to tell if you'll go bald. These people's dads are completely bald—David Beckham, Will Smith, Owen Wilson, Tom Brady, Justin Beiber, Adam Levine, Adam Sandler and many more, yet their sons don't show the slightest sign of ever going bald.

Justin Bieber is too young, David Beckham had a hair transplant, Will Smith HAS a bit o recession, and might be on meds (there's a chance it's just a MH). Will Smith might be just lucky. Don't know anything about those other guys you mentioned.

I didn't know Beckham had a hair transplant. If he did it's a damn good one.

Tom Brady had work done too. Just google tom Brady hairloss.Paparazzi got photos of him leaving a clinic also. Its more likely than not that if your dad suffered any hairloss/recession that you will follow a similar pattern.....

Adam Levine is either on treatment or had some work also. We also have treatments now they didnt when there parents were losing their hair. Plus your most likely looking at pictures of there parents who are in there 70s.

Mostly they were pictures of their dad's in their 60s and they were fully bald at that stage so I'm sure they just didn't suddenly go completely bald when they got to that age. I couldn't find any pictures of Tom Brady leaving a hair loss clinic. You shouldn't believe everything you read, especially on a celebrity news site.

And if these are hair transplants then no one should have to worry about hair loss because their hair is awesome.

Tons of dudes loss hair between 40-60. My point being is this guys are still pretty young, but who knows how they will progress when they are 60. Bradys front 3rd was diffusing. This is from 2007 when he was 30. That shows his loss started in 20s. I am guessing without transplant and treatment he would end up like his dad by 60.

I'm trying to work out if I'm balding or going bald.

i have a widows peak, classic v hairline but I don't appear to be thinning.

Looking back at photos, when I was a kid I had two types of hair, my hair as it is now and softer hair that grew from what is now my widows peak where no hair grows.

When i was 19 most of this soft hair had gone. I shaved my head down to a 1 and today at 33 my hairline looks pretty much the same.

I am am however frustrated with it. I've never been keen on the v shape and as my hair is fine and wavy, almost curly I occasionally can see through at the sides. It takes care to position it right.

So as my hair doesn't seem to have changed much since I was 19, I'm now 33, I started showing grey hairs around 25 and even now i don't treat them as there are very few. My hair seems to change very slowly.

Is there any way I can tell if my widows peak is going to turn into balding so I can start treating it. I'd love a straighter hairline and thicker hair so i can reduce the time spent making sure it's in shape in the morning.

In addition I don't appear to have much if any thinning at the crown. Because I've started concentrating on my hair I've noticed a few hairs fall out when I wash or mess with it. Not lots I must add

1 brother is 50 and has all his hair, thin in shaft thickness like mine, probably slightly thinned out in density like most older people.

My other brother is 46 and has had a more aggressive widows peak and started thinning on the crown around 42. His hair has changed very slowly too. I have more coverage than him when he was my age.

Im somewhere in between both brothers for hair type and colour.

Eh some call it mature hairline, but I think its just male pattern baldness. Nothing really gets better with age which is why you should treat it right away with current stuff as if its male pattern baldness, and going to keep progressing. If you care I guess some guys dont.

Hey guys, can someone please help me in figuring out how to post a new thread? Would like to get some help on my hair but there doesn't seem to be an option. Are new members barred from creating threads?

I wish that were true but sadly it isn't. My Dad rocked a full head of hair well into his late mid-late 40's. I'm 22 and I went from a Norwood 0 (did have a naturally high hairline though) to a Norwood 2 in less than a year. Doesn't seem to be slowing down either :(

I've stopped finasteride now just cause I want my full strength erections back. Gunna start on 0.25mg finasteride 2x a week once I recover and see if maybe that'll work and minimise sides..
