Reading through various posts I notice a lot of the questions about propecia were "how long did it take till you saw results?" I think that the people who saw results should post in here to give us newbies some reassurance.

Thanks!

right on chris...the one bad thing about this site is that you mostly hear about the negative side effects and results of hair loss treatments instead of the many positives. most people who have results are happy and in turn stop posting in the forum so you only hear the cons. hundreds of thousands of people use propecia and only a select few get these side effects, less than 2%. you just never hear of the many people who see great results from the drug. stick with it and the odds are greatly on your side that you will be very happy with the results. good luck

I've been on it for a lil over a year and it doesnt seem to help much...well...I believe it has slowed down the hairs falling out. Just started nizoral and min so that might be the boost I neeed. Fingers crossed.

I did not see results on Propecia until I added Nizoral in the 4th-5th month. This whole scene was new to me back then and nobody told me I needed to control the itching to see results.

I shed nonstop from month 1 to month 4 and was about to sue Merck for false advertising. Week 1 of month 5 the shedding stopped, and a couple weeks later things started growing. Shed again at month 8 and month 11/12, and maintained for 3 years from that point forward.

Thanks for the good news! I started finasteride last year in November and shedding stopped after 4 or 5 months. Then I ran out of pills for like 3 weeks....and started up again. Shedding started again 2x as bad, now I'm waiting for some good results again.......

Interesting HairLossTalk.com. What is the reason for why Finasteride alone causes itching?
