Hi I'm new here but participate on other hair loss forums. This seems to be the best and most active.

I'm 32 had a strip hair transplant at 23 of like 1100 at the hairline. I'm diffuse in an Norwood 6 pattern with no slick bald spots. I feel like I have to do something as I'm sick of it hindering my life and living under hats/messy concealers

I feel like my options are:

A) Get the scar revised by plastic surgeon and the minor cobblestoning smoothed out by cosmetic derm. Then get hair tattoo and shave down

B) Get another strip of 3000 and an ear to ear scar. If final result is not acceptable get the hair tattoo to cover any deficiencies and keep my hair long.

Iv'e been on in-person consultations with plastic surgeons, derms and the top strip clinics so I know what's possible best worst case/senarios to that end.

Not sure about the tattoos though. I'm thinking hishairclinic or the place in Fla. Some of the recent pics look great but if they can't provide patients results to see in-person I really can't risk it. Another member actually got the hishair treatment and says is truly undetectable and saw many patients live in Birmingham.

Problem with hishair is that it apparently fades over time and what damage to the scalp would that do to having to get it redone? Problem with Artistry Concepts is IMO, what if it bleeds into surrounding tissue? I don't mind the permanent thing so much as long as the results are top notch. I'd love to keep a nice tight lined up cut. What to do, what to do? Seems like I have to try to keep seeing 'older' results from both clinics to make an informed decision.

sh*t.

@dudemon - Thanks, I learned a lot from your experience. I am a NW6 and I shave my head. I am glad I came on these forums and learned a lot and I don't think I would ever get a hair transplant. Unless they do stem cell hair follicle cloning that is. I think I will continue to just cut my losses, shave it and not think about it.

hair transplant's seem reasonable if you have a receding hairline that you want to fill in, but for a NW6 it just seems like it is an overwhelming area to fill in.
