They state on their site that if you see no regrowth within the first year you should probably discontinue.
But what about maintainance? I consider my hair loss preety aggresive so if in 3 years within propecia, i have slighlty less hair than what I began with, while if i was not i would have lost much more, isnt this a success?
Question is: If you see NO regrowth(not even some vellus hair) does this mean that it would probably not even maintain your healthy hair? (idea is that if it cant help dead hair become small vellus hair, then it also cant help alive hair stay where it is)
Sorry if all this is not making much sense :)

yes, slowing down, or stopping hairloss with propecia is success too, sure some may not think it is worth it to continue even though they are just slowing it down, rather than stopping or reversal, if you are happy, keep on it

pictures and hair counting is the only real way to tell

Yes that is success. You should hardly gauge success on what others stipulate otherwise you'll always come up empty handed.

Propecia has not helped me at all, maintenance and or regrowth.

IF I can/ever do achieve maintenance, then that is a success and so to it should be considered if you achieve the same. You will find posts that consider maintenance to be just as much a success as regrowth.

Try to break it down into components. Maintenance and regrowth. Maintain with one product, regrow with another if at all possible.

Stick it out for a while and monitor your results
