Who here has had acne from Propecia, or from life in general.

If any of the both, or both.. please tell me, did Dutasteride..

1. Cure your acne, or help it.
2. Was your acne from Propecia or lifes blessings?
3. How long till you saw results?
4. How much dutasteride do you take?

*Also if anyone used Saw Palmetto for same thing?

I'd be interested to know this too. Propecia did nothing for my acne and i was on it for around 16 months.

1. As of right now it seems to be worse since I moved to .5 every day. But that might now be true at all, see my statements at the bottom.

2. I had acne all through my teens, but I started taking Propecia at age 20, so I wonder if it would have subsided and the propecia/dutasteride had extended it. I'm 30 now.

3. Acne results? When I first started taking dutasteride, either two or three times per week my face was extremely clear and I figured the dutasteride had something to do with that. But lately my acne has been the worst it has since I started the healthy diet last July. I started dutasteride in October.

4 .5 every day

Some other things to note - I am mostly on a raw food diet, so that helps keep acne away. Breakouts could be from me recently eating some starchy foods. I also take Salmon oil, borage oil, green tea and a few other supps that are generally known to help with skin care. And finally, I started doing Bikram yoga (105 degrees inside room) every other day about a month ago, and that seems to coincide with increased acne.

I've been on finasteride for the past 8 years, and after never having back acne through my teens and early college, it began.

It was worth it to me, especially since it was on my back....And pretty minimal...

Stidex pads at night, and washed off in the morning really helps...

Are you seriously taking dutasteride to stop your acne? Just like dutasteride should be a last resort of baldness sufferers, it should also for you...or it should not even be an option. What else have you tried for your acne? The biggest contributor to acne is your diet. Have you eliminated sugar and starch from your diet for two months and seen the results?
