Adding Caffeine To Ketoconazole 2% Shampoo?

Caffeine shampoos are shown to have some efficacy in studies in stimulating hair growth. Is there any reason we could not just add caffeine powder into a ketoconazole 2% (Nizoral Prescription) shampoo? Would the caffeine need to be added in any specific form to distribute into the shampoo? Would it be possible to just drop a caffeine pill into shampoo at the moment it is being used, or is there some reason to let the caffeine sit in the shampoo for a longer duration before use?

What are the pros and cons of using adenosine instead of caffeine? Do you have any hair regrowth studies showing higher efficacy for adenosine over caffeine? I assume these two both compete for the same adenosine receptors, so there is no point in mixing them together.
