After doing my standard News search i looked at the Aderans website and found that they had updated there Press Release Section for March 2009:

http://www.aderansresearch.com/ari_ournews.html

Considering there well into Phase II trials can anyone speculate why this article was posted and what they are inadvertantly trying to say?

I first found the link to the article on www.tressless.com

http://tressless.com/2009/02/21/mens-he ... reatments/

http://www.bestlifeonline.com/cms/publi ... Growth.php

Discussion welcome!!

Yes but at the bottom it states that the original publication was from 2007.

As for the 2010 release date, that's just a typo. They meant to write 2100!

Dudemon,

While I agree with you about timelines being BS, I think your conspiracy theory about hair transplant salespeople promoting HM is a little far fetched.

Surely if people were convinced HM was to become available in the near future, they would hold back on a hair transplant to preserve the follicles in their donor hair. (From what I understand it would be more difficult to apply HM to someone who has undergone a hair transplant). Maybe I'm wrong.

I just wonder who really "planted the HM seeds" on the internet in the first place, and what their motivations were. You know that any information which gets "leaked" to the public has to come from the inside - other than the actual press releases. Also, none of the "official" press releases from any of these companies ever give a timeline. Timelines are always conjured up from someone's (who supposedly is in the know) "opinion" which is why they are BS, in my opinion.

As far as the new treatments not working on patients who have had regular hair transplant's, ALL of them (except Histogen - I think, I could be wrong) claim that their treatments WILL work on patients who have previously undergone hair transplant surgery - as far as I know. They're always sure to mention it too, on their websites and press releases.

Knowing that, wouldn't the motivation for salespeople be there to use HM propaganda to boost there traditional hair transplant sales? I can almost hear them now: "You might as well go ahead and have an hair transplant now and keep the hairline you have, becasue HM is right around the corner." :jackit:

I agree completely with this.
I read in another thread where someone says that Armani told them that "You think you'll have to worry about donor hair in 10 years?" If you can plant that seed in someone's head, they'll obviously be much more likely to dense pack grafts in the hairline now, thus making the "doctor" more money. I think it's also fairly safe to assume that someone who goes into the hair transplant business does it to make as much $$$ as possible. I work at a med school. I think in general, the motivation in the field of medicine is to help people. I think in the hair transplant field, the motivation is to get paid. I'm not saying that all of them are bad people, and there seem to be some that honestly tell patients that they are not a transplant candidate. However, these seem to be a small minority, whereas douchebags like Armani, who lie to patients in order to make money now, are the vast majority. I think getting a hair transplant is a lot like buying a used car. 1 out of 100 used car salesman might tell you that the car is a lemon, and that the engine is on its last legs, but the other 99 will tell you its in great shape, lie about the mileage, and then laugh at you when you leave.

Aderans have officially announced Phase II trials:

http://www.aderansresearch.com/pdfs/PR_04_24.pdf

Considering Intercytex's rolling Phase II study and the considerable funding behind Aderans, I expect that they also will experiement with different approaches two implementing the 2 cell step as effectively as possible.

We could therefore place its conclusion in 2011, and i personally would not set hopes any sooner,

The hope of hair multiplication therapy, seems to point to proto hairs.

Regardless of the facts anyone who does not believe that this HM will work is plain stupid, if you can produce brand new hairs, then your half way there, once they figure out who can produce the most you will see it being offered!
