Ok Im currently on month 7 of propecia and nizoral and month 4 of folligen...I have nothing to show for it except more hairloss and horrendous thinning. Anyone believe that this just isnt working for me?.....I know you are supposed to give it a year but, I dont believe this is going to turn around in the next couple of months... My hair has become thin in areas that at the start of my regimin were thick..... thanks for your advice, much appreciated.....

Hard to say. How bad was your hairloss before treatment compared to what it is now? Any pics?

I had some recession which Ive always had and some minor thinning in the front 2 inches, however now the thinning seems to be creeping towards the center, you know giving that island of hair look, yeah its real nice....thanks

Tough call. Propecia could've caused a really bad shed. Maybe you'll recover from it. Maybe you won't. Or maybe this would've happened regardless of whether or not you took Propecia - could just be male pattern baldness speeding up on its own. Situations like this are a total crap shoot.

If I were you, I would stick with it at least a year, especially if you're not having any side effects or anything. If your hair is going to grow back after stopping finasteride, another few months certainly won't hurt.

I agree with hair mchair. It seems like its a common trend to incur a propecia shed around month 6-7. I know from personal experience that some sheds can seem absolutely unremitting and consequently make you question the treatment. If the shedding continues as it is for another month then maybe you should re-evaluate finasteride.
